Josh Allenberg

Josh Allenberg

Josh was drawn to the practice of law to pursue his passion of helping others and serving his community. His collegial approach to litigation and empathy for clients allows him to connect with others to solve problems more efficiently, and with kindness and compassion. Josh balances this approach with a sharp eye for detail, and detailed knowledge of statutory and case law.

A veteran, Josh attended Carlow University on the Post-9/11 GI Bill and graduated with honors as a Carlow Scholar. While at Carlow he served as Editor-in Chief of the Carlow Chronicle and was a member of Alpha Phi Omega. He then attended and graduated from Duquesne Law, where he earned the Superior Pro Bono Service Award, served as an officer for the Jewish Law Student Association and American Constitutional Society, and served as a Marshal of Phi Alpha Delta. Prior to joining Stoner Law, he worked for the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office, Cadence Counsel, and The Bank of New York Mellon.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys live jazz, hockey, golf, baseball, and trying new bourbons. He’s also served on local civic boards, the Board of Directors of the Carlow University Alumni Association, and as a member of the Board of Trustees at Temple David Synagogue in Monroeville. Josh grew up in Natrona, and aside from a six-year hitch in the Air Force that took him to Texas, Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Japan, and other overseas deployments, has been a life-long Pittsburgher. He currently resides in Ross Township with his fiancé Lucy, and their cats JuJu and Yancey. He also has a daughter, Ava
